After several months of its absence in our lives, some great and continued weight loss success and much consideration of the upcoming winter, Liz and I rejoined a gym. We found a great deal on a small place just 2.5 miles from our house, it costs us only $5 more for both of us than Liz's last one did for her alone. It's just the right size, not too busy, close to home, no over-pumped gym rats (I'm always afraid that their unnaturally large pecs are either going to explode, or on the hand, maybe start lactating?), and it's open 24 hours when you have your electronic key card. And we do. There's nothing more encouraging to our workout than 24 hour availability, and we're pumped (he he, little pun) to get things going again. Even better is that if we were to travel, we are networked all over the nation, no additional fees at all. I love no additional fees.
Yay- you're blogging again!
Since moving to MT I started a workout routine again (my first in almost two years). I can run up to the bluffs (rimrock? buttes? what does one call these things?) where there is a nice bars-and-beams workout station set into a rock cleft and I can attempt to do pullups/ other exercises to my heart's desire while overlooking the city (it really it beautiful). Except today when I jogged up to my spot, there were several men with severely enlarged pectorals working out there. I scurried away in fearfullness of their over-muscled chests-- then felt totally vindicated when you made fun of them in your post. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
